Shall I look to You and wonder
About this life You breathed into me?
Shall I tell You about my mortal dreams
That never came to be?
Could I bemoan my tomorrows
As if I have more than today?
Could I stop short of believing
To save heartbreak and dismay?
Will I fret when I face the giant at hand
When you ordained all my days?
Will I charge you with every struggle
Yet with each success garner praise?
Should I polish myself up, adorned with a smile
A silent masquerade?
When You see my tainted heart
And for it, the ultimate price You paid.
Or shall I fall at Your feet in worship
As if I have the strength to stand.
Knowing that I'm Your beloved
And my life is in Your hands.
About Me
- Jessica Schatzle
- Hello! For many years I've been a writer "by any other name". But in this new season of life as a mom I've realized more and more the importance of real connection, community and being a voice of hope in this wild new world. So here I am, officially calling myself a writer, eagerly looking to engage with you as I write to bring hope along the journey. If you're a new mama, an overwhelmed mama, or just find yourself in any new and unfamiliar season of life, I hope you'll find yourself right at home here.
